Disney Producer Gives Advice to 2020 Graduates
Disney has many, many smart, creative, talented and driven people. One is Producer Dan Hahn. Hahn is a Disney film maker, author, artist and cartoonist who has worked for Walt Disney studios for many years. He produced The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast and he has some advice for the 2020 graduates.
First, Celebrate the Milestones. Slow down. Think about the potential they have and understand that although this graduation is not what they pictured, it is a milestone to be celebrated.
Be Yourself. It’s ok to be introverted or outgoing. Find your interest and own it. Everyone has a special interest that is theirs. He says, “My interest may not be yours and that’s ok.”
Move. Find your dream and move toward accomplishing it.
Fall in Love with something. Fall in love and learn your craft and hone your craft and become your craft. Hahn learned his craft from the original Disney master at Walt Disney Studios. He says he found his “university” there and that is where he was lucky enough to work on Walt Disney movies.
Fail. Hahn states if you have made it to graduation, you have failed at some point. Failure is growth.
Go on an odyssey. Go on a journey and understand that life depends on fresh starts.

Congrats to all the 2020 graduates all over the country. Both high school and college graduations will look different this year, but the advice Don Hahn gives is universal.
