Fourth Worker at Orlando International Airport Tests Positive For Coronavirus
Reports are indicating a forth worked at Orlando Internation Airport has tested positive for COVID-19. It was announced earlier today that is was a police officer that works at the airport.
The officer said he started to experience flu-like symptoms earlier in the month and self quarantined himself. The officer made sure not to travel to any restricted areas.
The officer no longer has symptoms but remains in 14-day self-quarantine, according to the police department.
“First-responders risk their lives every day, no matter what is going on in the world. Our officers continue to patrol our city to keep everyone safe, as we deal with the coronavirus pandemic and practice proactive measures to limit exposure,” Police Chief Orlando Rolón. “This invisible threat will not change our commitment to serve and protect as we continue to work during this challenging time to keep our city safe”.
As we previously reported here at MickeyBlog, the first TSA worker test positive for COVID-19 last Saturday. She has been in quarantine since them and told Orlando Sentinel that she is suffering from headaches, dizziness, aches, sinus issues and a cough. She did say that she has started feeling better this week.
A second TSA worker at Orlando International Airport has tested positive for the coronavirus, according to a recent report in the Orlando Sentinel. The employee worked as a screening officer at the airports West Checkpoint and they worked their last shift on March 11 from 12 to 8:30pm.
Aside from both positive COVID-19 cases within the TSA department of Orlando International Airport, a worker at a car rental facility also tested positive.
