Things Are About to Get Witchy In the New Season of ‘The Owl House’
The characters of Disney Channel’s animated series The Owl House have quickly won over fans! The series which debuted on January 10th follows Luz, a teenage girl who finds a portal to a magical realm where she befriends a witch named Eda as well as a tiny warrior named King. Though Luz doesn’t possess magical abilities she still serves as Edna’s apprentice at Owl House finding a new family (of sorts!)
On the episode that was just released (January 24th), we get a chance to meet two other awesome characters that we’re sure you’ll love – Willow (voiced by Tati Gabrielle) is a bubbly and friendly witch and Amity (Mae Whitman) plays a bright (but competitive) witch.
Tati Gabrielle is no stranger to sorcery. You’ll probably recognize her as Prudence in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch on Netflix.
And then there’s Mae Whitman who is no stranger to Disney! She actually voiced the role of Tinker Bell in the Tinker Bell spinoff films and has been busy in both film and TV, most recently in Good Girls.
Rounding out the incredible cast is Wendie Malick (American Housewife) as Eda, Alex Hirsch (Gravity Falls) as King and Sarah-Nicole Robles (Boss Baby) as Luz. The guest voice cast also includes Matthew Rhys (The Americans), Isabella Rossellini (Shut Eye)and Issac Ryan Brown (Raven’s Home.)
“Owl House” is created and executive-produced by Dana Terrance (Duck Tales) and the series is available to watch on Disney Channel and the DisneyNOW app. As we previously reported here at MickeyBlog, Disney is so sure that they have a hit on their hands that they have already approved a second season for the show! Stephen Sandoval (Gravity Falls) is supervising producer of the series, which is produced by Disney Television Animation.

Coinciding with the first season, DisneyNOW has also unveiled an adventure game set in the supernatural world of The Owl House, where players can join Luz on her mission to become a witch by completing tasks, collecting relics and playing mini-games. Disney also tells us that new shorts featuring Luz, Eda and King will be rolled out by the Disney Channel in the Spring. Oh, and be on the lookout for Owl House merchandise at some point in early 2020!
