Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend Has Begun
Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend has officially begun with signage displayed throughout select Disney resorts. MickeyBlog was on the scene as crews set up the signs seen at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Signs informed runners of bus transportation locations and also included the complete Marathon weekend schedule of events.

Runners are able to begin the race bib pick-up starting at 10:00 AM today through Saturday at 3:30 PM. Depending upon what race you are running in, you’ll want to make sure your bib is secured prior.
Marathon Expo
The Expo opens today at Disney’s Wide World of Sports as well. According to the runDisney.com website, several highlights of the Expo include:

Schedule of Races
The Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend races begin with the Walt Disney World 5K on Thursday, January 9. Shuttles begin running at 3:30 AM and runners are encouraged to board a shuttle no later than 4:00 AM.
The Walt Disney World 10K takes place on Friday, January 10 beginning at 5:30 AM. The half marathon is on Saturday, January 11 and the marathon on Sunday, January 12.
Kids Races
runDisney does a great job of including kids in the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. Children can participare in a 100M dash, 200M dash, a Diaper Dash, and a One Mile Run. T
There is no transportaion from Epcot tothe Kids Races at teh ESPN Wide World of Sports Comples.
