Rise of the Resistance Continues To Wow The Crowds at Hollywood Studios
One month ago today was a VERY important Disney milestone – the opening of Rise of the Resistance at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World. The reception for this state-of-the-art attraction has been nothing short of amazing with thousands upon thousands of guests pouring into the parks each day to experience the intergalactic magic! The fervour overRise of the Resistanceis slated to continue as the attraction will also be opening at Disneyland park in California in 11 days (January 17, 2020.)
It’s easy to understand why many are describing it as the best theme park attraction ever! For starters, it’s one of the longest attraction experiences in Disney history and features a wonderfully immersive storyline. Riders become a new Resistance recruit and are sent by Rey to a secret rendezvous point to meet General Leia Organa so you can aid her cause and free the galaxy from the evil clutches of the First Order. After hustling into an Intersystem Transport Ship you blast off Batuu with Poe Dameron as your wingman in a black-painted X-wing starfighter.
However, before you know it, trouble ensues and a First Order Star Destroyer is hot on your tail! It pulls your ship into a massive hangar bay via a tractor beam. Once this happens your mission quickly switches gears as you attempt to escape from the First Order before Supreme Leader Kylo Ren can catch you!
Rise of the Resistance is an immersive ride on a cinematic scale and you’ll definitely walk away with the feeling that you stepped right into a Star Wars film. You’ll see a docked Tie Fighter, dodge two AT-AT walkers, scurry past huge turbolaser cannons and dodge blaster fire from First Order Stormtroopers as you look for a way off the Star Destroyer aboard your special troop transport vehicles.
