Food & Wine Classic is Coming to the Swan and Dolphin This Weekend
Calling all Disney-loving foodies! The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival isn’t the only culinary event of the Autumn. As a matter of fact this week the Swan and Dolphin Resort will celebrate with their annual Food & Wine Classic! Now in its 10 year, this culinary celebration goes from strength to strength this year with a whopping 28 booths.
Beer Garden:
One of the biggest draws of the Food & Wine Classic is their massive beer garden. There are an impressive 17 booths devoted exclusively to brews. According to a recent piece in the Orlando Sentinel, if you throw wine, and champagne into the mix you have an impressive 170 different alcoholic beverages to choose from!
The Food:
This year’s Classic has a beach food theme. That means you’ll find awesome options like a fry basket featuring clams, shrimp, oysters and fries. Other highlights will include the Hawaiian-themed Pig and Poke and the always popular Carnival Corner where guests can tuck into fun treats like deep-fried Oreos!
Luciano Sperduto, director of food and beverage for the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel had this to say of the menu, “It’s a beach bash homage to our 10th anniversary — and that’s right there in the name: Hang 10. We’re building a stage out there on the beach and will have a Beach Boys-style band and it’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Learn:
Similar to its Epcot counterpart, the Food & Wine Classic can also be a learning experience for budding chefs and culinary enthusiasts. On offer will be a wide range of seminars. You’ll find everything from the Fine Art of Sushi & Sake and a Craft Cocktail Seminar to a Pasta Making Course! As a matter of fact, there are 11 workshops this year with prices starting at $52 (the price usually includes tastings.)
Our philosophy has always been to keep it simple,” says Sperduto, who teaches a course on Italian wines. “We want the guest who comes to a seminar to walk away with some key points about what they’re trying and tasting, but also information they can apply at home, too.”

This year’s Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic takes place Friday, November 8th and Saturday, November 9, 2019. Seminars begin at 4:30pm with the food booths opening from 5:30 – 9:30 pm. Tickets to enjoy the food booths start at $145.00 though a la carte options are also available.
