Ways to Stay Cool, Comfortable and Content at Disneyland This Fall!
Summer 2019 may be behind us but there are still so many awesome things to see, do and explore at Disneyland Resort! Plus, the Southern California sun is still shining bright! With that in mind here are a few ways to keep you cool and refreshed during your visit!
Let’s start with the Disneyland theme park!
Our favorite way to take a break from the bright afternoon sun just now is by paying a visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. On the planet of Batuu there are many cool (not to mention) awesome places to hang out!
In Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, you can start cooling off the minute you head into this iconic ship including in the cavernous path to the Main Hold of the Millennium Falcon. You can hang out around the Dejarik (chess) table for a few minutes before excitedly taking the controls of the fastest ship in the galaxy toward adventure and, ah, yes, a galactic breeze.
Looking for a refreshing treat? Head over to the Milk Stand to enjoy a delicious glass of Blue or Green Milk. These frozen treats are sure to cool you off and prep you for your next adventure!
If an afternoon libation is more your style, head to Oga’s Cantina. This popular watering hole is where weary space travelers come together to refuel after a long day of adventure. Here you’ll find a wide array of alcoholic beverages and some non-alcoholic as well. However, making a pit stop here does require a reservation so sign up in advance! Make a reservation to visit the cantina before you go!
Apart from Galaxy’s Edge, there is no shortage of awesome places to cool offer! Guests can stay cool at guest-favourite attractions like Splash Mountain, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan’s Flight and many more!
Last but not least is one of our favorite ways to chill out at Disneyland – eats and treats of course! Start with a Dole Whip Float from Tiki Juice Bar or The Tropical Hideaway, a Mint Julep in New Orleans Square or delicious old-fashioned ice cream at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor.
Moving on to Disney California Adventure Park
One of our favorite ways to cool off at Walt Disney World is also now available on the West Coast – Mickey’s PhilharMagic! Located in the Sunset Showcase Theater, the show features Donald Duck who stirs up some musical mayhem. This awesome 3D experience takes you on a journey through the fantastic world of some of Disney’s most popular animated musical numbers! Films featured include “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Peter Pan” and “Aladdin.”
Disney California Adventure also has no shortage of other refreshing rides. Some of our favorites include: Soarin’ Around the World, Grizzly River Run, The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, Animation Academy and “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion” in Hollywood Land.
Now let’s get to the cool (or should we say delicious) stuff. Disney California Adventure also offers a wonderful array of colorful cold treats, like the lemon soft-serve at Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats on Pixar Pier, the hand-dipped ice cream bar at Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream, Memory Refreshers from Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff and even a delicious fruit smoothie from Schmoozies! in Hollywood Land.
We hope you’ve enjoyed this early Autumn look at some of the ways you can stay cool while enjoying your September visit to the “Happiest Place on Earth!”
