Disney Saved These Fox Films
Following Disney’s Fox aquisition many wondered what would happen to the latter’s film slate.
Well, recent news gives us more information about the outcome of the merger.

Though Disney’s recent acquisition of 21st Century Fox has seemingly led to the axing of quite a few projects, there are still plenty of upcoming films that look to have survived the transition, many of which are scheduled to hit theaters in the next couple of years.
Underwater – January 10, 2020
…the story of a crew of underwater researchers who must fight for their lives after an earthquake devastates their subterranean lab. With a cast that includes Kristen Stewart, T.J. Miller, Jessica Henwick and Vincent Cassel, the film is slated to come out on January 10th, 2020.
Kingsman – February 14, 2020
…the confusingly titled prequel to the popular spy series. Set for release on February 14th, 2020, the film boasts a star-studded line-up, including Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Daniel Bruhl, Matthew Goode, Stanley Tucci, Djimon Hounsou and Charles Dance.
Call of the Wild – February 21st, 2020

The New Mutants – April 3rd, 2020
…should finally be hitting theaters on April 3rd, assuming the project isn’t hit with yet another delay.

Free Guy – July 3rd, 2020
…an action comedy from Stranger Things director Shawn Levy about a bank teller who discovers that he’s a minor character in an open world video game. The flick is set for release on July 3rd, 2020, and stars Ryan Reynolds opposite the likes of Joe Keery, Taika Waititi and Channing Tatum.
Bob’s Burgers – July 17th, 2020
…makes the jump to theaters with a feature-length film.
Death on the Nile – October 9th, 2020
…on October 9th, Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Letitia Wright and Annette Bening join Kenneth Branagh for Death on the Nile, the follow-up to 2017’s Murder on the Orient Express.
Ron’s Gone Wrong – November 6th, 2020
…an animated comedy set in a world where robots and children are best friends.
West Side Story – December 18th, 2020
…Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story remake.
Nimona – March 5th, 2021
Moving into 2021, we have Nimona, an animated fantasy film…
Avatar 2 – December 17th, 2021
…the long-awaited sequel.
