Monorail Guests Experience Hot Stall At Disney World
Disney said the monorail system experienced some “downtime” on Tuesday morning.
However, sitting on a very hot monorail was anything but the “good time” guests expected that morning.
ClickOrlando.com (News 6) reported:
What should have been a magical day for Walt Disney World guests hit a road bump when they were stuck on a stalled monorail Tuesday morning.
Guests told News 6 that it got so hot inside the cabins; they had to open the emergency windows for ventilation.
“We were all so hot and people were close to passing out so we took the windows,” one guest said… That [same] guest said passengers were stuck for about 50 minutes until the monorail began rolling backward to Disney’s Transportation & Ticket Center.
We are sorry for any inconvenience, Amanda. Please know that our Transportation Team is aware of the situation and is working quickly to get you moving on to your Disney destination. We appreciate your patience.

This is so disheartening to see.
Like the TTA Peoplemover in Tomorrowland, the monorail system is an important reminder of the original intent of Walt Disney World.
Hopefully — after the Disney Skyliner (gondola) System is solidly in place and running smoothly — the powers that be will give a good look at how to ensure interruptions like the one on Tuesday happen less frequently.
I know, “Call Bob Gurr!”
