The Ratatouille Attraction Coming to Epcot Gets a Name
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog today, you’ve no doubt seen that this year’s Destination D event has been an absolute trove of exciting Disney details. From brand new shows, more info on Star Wars land, Disney’s Skyliner system and new resorts, Walt Disney World is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever. I’m particularly excited to share with you that we’ve also been given some exciting news – the Ratatouille ride that is slated to open at Epcot’s France pavilion has now been given a name!
Bob Chapek, Chairman of Parks, Experiences and Consumer Product announced during the D23 event this morning that the new experience will be called Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure! Though little was revealed about the attraction itself, Disney fans are expecting it to be similar to the Ratatouille attraction currently at Disneyland Paris (pictured above). The European version of the ride is known as Ratatouille: The Adventure and offers a 4D experience where guests follow Remy the rat and his cohorts as they cook up some of their favorite culinary delights! However, it isn’t long before the rats are discovered by Chef Skinner and a chase through a Parisian restaurant ensues! Construction is already underway for the project!
But that’s not all of the exciting changes coming to the France Pavilion! Disney announced today that a brand new “Beauty and the Beast” sing-along will also debut at the pavilion. The production will be created by Don Hahn, producer of the animated and live action “Beauty and the Beast” films. If it is anything like “For the First TIme In Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along” over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, it is sure to be a hit with princess lovers!
In addition to these exciting Epcot editions, guests can also expect a new Guardians of the Galaxy themed coaster which is currently under construction in Future World, new nighttime spectaculars that will take the place of IllumiNation, an outer-spaced-themed table service eatery and new plans for Spaceship Earth!
There’s only one way to stay abreast of all of the fantastic changes coming to Epcot and that’s by continuing to follow along with MickeyBlog!
