Where to Find Princess Tiana at Walt Disney World
The Disney Princesses have a knack for inspiring. Every little girl I know has an answer ready when I ask “who is your favorite Disney Princess?” and an even faster interjection of why she loves said princess immediately follows the response. Belle is a favorite of girls who love to read while Ariel sweeps the vote from the independent (read: headstrong). Merida’s explosion onto the scene won the hearts of the adventure-seeking crowd, and if you’re talking to my neighbor, you’ll get a 90 second brief on why Tiana’s hard-working, get-it-done attitude has inspired her to reach for her dreams.
That very same neighbor is taking a Memorial Day Weekend vacation to Walt Disney World with her family, and when I asked her how excited she was to see Tiana, the ensuing jumping and melting into a fit of happy tears answered my question: VERY excited…she just wishes she can see her more than one place….
Tiana in Magic Kingdom
Tiana’s popularity doesn’t rival Elsa’s, but Tiana can be found so very many places around Walt Disney World Resort and I was shocked to learn that my neighbor only knew of one! Tiana can be found inside Princess Fairytale Hall in Fantasyland if you’re hoping to meet her, this is definitely your best bet! Since Elsa and Anna have moved to their summer house in Epcot, the space they occupied was left for Tiana- and she’s ready and waiting to meet her biggest fans! You also have a chance to meet Tiana and Naveen in Liberty Square, just be sure to check a times guide since she isn’t always out.
If you’ve never seen Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire in front of Cinderella castle, you’ve got to check it out on your next trip! Mickey, Minnie, and all of their friends host a party for all of their friends who come from far away…like New Orleans! Tiana and the crew perform multiple times daily in the silly song-filled romp- check a times guide on your way into the park for showtimes.
When I had reached this point in our conversation, my neighbor had whipped out her phone and was making a list for herself of all the spots Princess Tiana frequents. Ready for more? Well, if you think you’re ready to smile and wave with the best of them, make sure to get your spot for Festival of Fantasy early (my suggestion is to watch from Frontierland) so you can get a bird’s eye view of Tiana as she passes by!
Staying for the fireworks? You’d be silly not to! Nightly, Happily Ever After lights up the skies above Magic Kingdom, and you might spot Tiana as part of the castle projection show that’s simultaneous with the fireworks.
Tiana in Hollywood Studios
If you’re like my neighbor, right about now you’re in shock from the amount of places you can meet and see Tiana, though the feisty princess doesn’t let herself be contained by park boundaries. Tiana makes her way to the Hollywood Hills Amphitheatre every night when the sun sets to watch her favorite show. She’s a smart girl, because Fantasmic! is my favorite show too! You can spot her on Steamboat Willie’s river boat in the show’s finale sequence…but beware, you’ll have to get past a fire-breathing dragon to make your way to the princess!
Tiana Around Walt Disney World Resort
I’d wager there are few girls out there as crazy for Tiana as my little neighbor, but Disney has a way of attracting the biggest princess fans from all over the world, and if yours is in love with Tiana, you just might want to stay at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside or French Quarter.
For full immersion into Tiana’s world on the bayou, the Port Orleans resorts are fully themed in New Orleans style and architecture- Princess Tiana even has her very own garden at the resort!
