7 Best Perks of Being an Annual Passholder
If you’re debating on buying an Annual Pass to Walt Disney World, look no further than the Premium Plus pass for all things Disney. Of course, every pass includes great perks, but if you want the best of the best, get the Premium Plus. It’s the best deal for any Annual Passholder.
1. The Premium Plus
The Premium Plus pass includes access on every day of the year to every single park. Yep, that’s right! Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Wide World of Sports, and Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course. On every. Day. Of. The. Year. Can you imagine going to Walt Disney World that often? The great part is, the pass pays for itself after about ten visits! So as long as you go about ten time within those 365 days, your money is worth it.
2. Free Parking
Along with access to every single theme park, another great perk to the annual passes is free parking. Forget about paying the crazy $20 fee every time you drive to a different park!
3. Free PhotoPass Downloads
Along with free parking, many guests have shared that the free photo pass downloads are their favorite part of having an annual pass. If guests are just coming on a short trip but want unlimited Photopass downloads, they have to buy memory maker, whereas Annual Passholders get those photos for free.
No need to worry about taking out your own camera every time you want a photo – let Disney do it for you! With these high quality photos downloads, the My Disney Experience App let’s you put special filters on your photos with Disney frames and stickers. After taking a photo with a Photopass cast member, just scan your magic band and the photos will show up on your My Disney Experience App!
4. Free Passholder Magic Bands
Speaking of Magic Bands, when you get any annual pass, you get a Magic Band for free. You get to choose from the generic colors and add your name to it. A special “Passholder” emblem with a Mickey symbol comes with it to be attached to the band. Even if you already have a Magic Band, you might as well take advantage of this perk! The more bands the better – collect them all to match your different outfits!
5. Lots of Other Free items!
There are many other items that Annual Passholders can get for free. By simply just going to Epcot’s Food and Wine once, Passholders can get a free Chef Mickey Passholder magnet. After going to Epcot’s Food and Wine four times, Passholders can get a free Food and Wine Passholder cutting board!
Giveaways like this happen often throughout the year, normally during special events or seasons. These giveaways are specialized for Passholders and you must show your Annual Pass to receive the item.
6. Special Entrances Just for You
If you think you’ve learned it all, you haven’t. The list goes on! Another great perk for Passholders is the special Passholder entrance to every park. While the lines are long at park opening for normal day ticket guests, there is a special Passholder entrance that almost never has a wait.
This could save you about fifteen minutes of your day! Imagine how many people you are passing – how many of those people all want to go to the same attraction – but you get to surpass them all and enter the park rather than waiting in line just to enter the park!
7. Incredible Savings for the Annual Passholder
The discounts Annual Passholders receive on food and merchandise is amazing – it is pretty much the same as Cast Members…sometimes even better. Passholders receive a 20% discount on most merchandise throughout the park and a 10-15% discount on food, depending on the restaurant. Shops and restaurants at Disney Springs sometimes offer better discounts than this for Passholders, but it varies from place to place.
Being an Annual Passholder definitely has its perks and is definitely worth it. Become a Passholder yourself to discover all the magic Disney has to offer!
Great article. Do all members of your group need to be annual passholders to benefit?
Each person has to be an annual passholder for that person to qualify for any benefits…
I didn’t know about the Food & Wine show cutting board. We went 3 times this past year, if I’d known we would have gone back for a 4th. I guess I know for next year!
