VIDEO: MickeyBlog Returns To Disney Springs
The MickeyBlog.com team was on the ground at the reopening of Disney Springs
Oh, thank goodness. We have our first curated views of guest spaces at Walt Disney World since March 9. Greg Antonelle and crew walked around the grounds of Disney Springs.
Back In Walt Disney World
“March 9th was the last day I was at Walt Disney World,” said Greg. “We are going to walk around.”
Greg played a hunch and showed up early. And, not wanting to encourage a line, Disney personnel allowed the Antonelle to take a look around. Greeted by open sidewalks, blue skies, and 80-degree temps, just watching Greg’s walkabout was satisfying.
“A lot of stores are not open [yet],” he added. “A lot of restaurants are not open [this early].
“But many, many are.”
“Again, Walt Disney World is partially open!” he said.

Perhaps the most interesting of the walk-around experience was Greg explaining, “Advent Health is doing all the screening.
“When you come in, you park your car, and you walk in — there are people directing you as to where to go — pretty much one-way walking.
“There are people directing you to where to go for the screening; the temperature screening. So you walk up, you do have to stand six-feet apart, there are markers on the ground… and they put this [thermometer] near your forehead; probably about two to three inches away from your forehead. And it takes your temperature.
“So, the screening, to be honest, guys, was nothing,” added Greg. “It took less time than a bag check.
“And there don’t check bags in Disney Springs, of course,” he said.
Antonelle also explained it was two to three seconds at most.
New Views/Old Views
Also interesting were the ground/floor markers, designed to keep people six feet apart.
Greg also stopped in front of one of the many signs that have been installed to explain the new protocols.
And then he turned the corner and exclaimed, look at this view!
“For me to be back here is a really, really good feeling.”
For us too, Greg!
