Sneak Peek: Very Merry Christmas Party Sorcerers Card
Here it is! A sneak peek of this year’s Very Merry Christmas Party Sorcerers Card. The new playing card will debut at this year’s first Christmas Party on November 8th. The specialty playing card will be available to guests attending the special ticketed event on party nights only.
The new game card features four of our feathered friends from Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. The story behind the Christmas Party Sorcerers Card is that Merlin the Magician created the card after a tropical getaway where he became “enchanted” by the quartet of birds.
What is Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom?
Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom is an interactive game guests can play at Magic Kingdom Park. You can begin by heading to the Firehouse on Main Street, U.S.A. where you’ll receive a map and playing cards. Both of these are complimentary, with the option to purchase additional cards at select locations if you’d like.
Once you’ve collected your game pieces and map, venture out to find the villain and defend the Magic Kingdom. The villains are in hideouts throughout the park, plotting to take over. Therefore, it is up to you to use your spell cards to fight them off.
How To Play
As you follow your map throughout the park, you will find magic portals where you can use your game cards to interact (guests will receive training at the Firehouse before beginning the game). Your Sorcerer Key Card will unlock the portal where you will be faced with an evil henchman. Now it’s time to use your spell card.
Each card features a different Disney character with a unique spell. Select your card and hold it up to cast a spell on the villain to defeat them. Some villains are extra tough and may require you to use more than one spell.
The Christmas Party Sorcerers Card features the Tiki Room birds and a “Flying Animal Spell”. According to the Disney Parks Blog, “The Disney Villains will need to watch out, or they’ll end up with egg on their faces!”
Upon completing all 20 portals, Merlin will appear and bestow upon you the title of “Master Sorcerer”. There are 9 different quests in total. With the extensive collection of playing cards available, each time you play is guaranteed to be magical in a new way.
