Disney At Sea With D23! Debuts On The Disney Wonder
Guests sailing on the Disney Wonder last week got a very special treat as a brand new live event hit the stage. Disney at Sea with D23! debuted in the Buena Vista Theatre on the 7 night Mexican Riviera cruise. The 30 minute entertainment news show allowed guests to see new details about exciting happenings from all over the world of Disney!
“Our friends at Disney Cruise Line reached out and asked us to develop a show that would take guests on a journey through all the incredible entertainment and experiences coming from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm,” says Michael Vargo, head of D23. “It’s thrilling to share all of the exciting news—and our love for Disney—with our guests on the high seas.”
What Was Included?
Are you wondering what new and exciting things the guests saw while they were in the Buena Vista Theatre? Not only did they get to view the new Captain Marvel trailer and hear all about Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday celebration around the world, they also got to see brand new concept art for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Disneyland Tropical Hideaway, and Tokyo DisneySea’s upcoming expansion. It did not end there! Guests were also able to hear all about how Disney is celebrating two very special anniversaries for Hocus Pocus and Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. D23’s Fanniversary, which is hosting it’s own celebration for 25 years of classic Halloween films, was also highlighted.
The Future of Disney at Sea with D23!
Disney at Sea with D23! will be updated monthly so Disney Cruise Line guests will be able to stay up to date with all of the new excitement. Plans are in the works to bring this new show to the Disney Magic, Fantasy and Dream as well. Pretty soon, guests on every itinerary will be able to see it!
