The Incredibles 2 – Everything We Know So Far
In case you haven’t heard, a classic Disney favorite is getting a sequel 14 years later! Lately sequels to classics like the Toy Story series and Finding Nemo have been released many years after the previous installations. But after 14 long years we are finally getting a sequel to the beloved Disney Pixar classic. Although the trailer is only 52 seconds long, this is everything we know about The Incredibles 2 so far.
Bob and Helen Parr
In case you aren’t familiar with the story of The Incredibles, the plot follows Bob and Helen Parr, two former superheroes who are trying to live normal lives after the public opinion of “supers” turns sour. Years pass and Bob and Helen have three children, two of whom have superpowers. After getting thrust back into action to save the world, the family must work together. In the trailer for The Incredibles 2, we see youngest son Jack-Jack shooting lazers out of his eyes. Jack-Jack didn’t have powers for the majority of the first movie, so seeing him with powers is quite the change. The powers are also a shock to Jack-Jack’s father, Bob, who is thrilled he finally has powers.
Release Date – June 15, 2018
He is less than thrilled, however, when the laser beams burn through his hair. Although the trailer leaves much to be desired, other details can be gathered from sources like IMDB. According to this sources, this sequel will follow Helen, who’s superpower is extreme flexibility, as she saves the world and leaves her husband home with the kids. There’s no way in telling what other plot points may be included in this long awaited film, which leaves me with many questions. Will we be seeing other favorites like Frozone and Edna Mode? How will Bob handle Jack-Jack’s new powers without Helen there for support? The good news is that the trailer is only a teaser trailer, and we’ll definitely get some more answers before the release date, June 15th, 2018.
