Disneyland Paris Rings in the New Year With Two Limited-Time Celebrations
2019 is shaping up to be a banner year at Disneyland Paris starting with the return of two seasonal favorites to the theme parks. Disneyland Paris will hosting two limited time celebrations Legends of the Force – A Celebration of Star Wars and the Festival of Pirates and Princesses. Let’s take a closer look at both of these fantastic festivities!
Legends of the Force – A Celebration of Star Wars
At Walt Disney Studios- This epic event brings some of the most momentous scenes from the Star Wars saga to life. Guests will be able to check out the marching procession of First Order Stormtroopers led by Captain Phasma. Chewbacca will also be on hand for the first time ever to meet guests and pose for photos. In addition, the park will offer both daytime and nighttime shows that pay tribute to the stories of the Star Wars galaxy.
At Disneyland Park – The Star Wars fun continues as guests head out on intergalactic battles in Star Tours: The Adventure Continues as well as Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain. Darth Vader will also be on hand to meet those who are brave enough to say “Hello!”
To launch this intergalactic celebration actor John Boyega who plays Finn in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last-Jedi recently encountered a few Stormtroopers during his visit to Disneyland Paris! (see image top)
Festival of Pirates and Princess
For an adventure of a different kind, guests can join in the festivities of this popular Festival which will be held at Disneyland Park. A highlight of the Festival of Pirates and Princesses is an interactive show called Disney Pirate or Princess: Make Your Choice! In this fun-filled extravaganza, Minnie Mouse leads an acrobatic procession of Disney pirates down Main Street U.S.A and comes face-to-face with Mickey Mouse leading a Disney Princess Regalia. The action takes place in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. The epic grand finale of this seasonal celebration asks you to choose a side (pirate or princess) and join in with a song and a dance.
These festivities are currently in full swing at Disneyland Paris where they’ll be running until March 17th.
