Couple Completes Ultimate Park Hopping Challenge – Six Parks in One Day!
Have you ever visited all four parks at Walt Disney World in one day? While not impossible by any means, it definitely takes some good planning. Well, what about six parks in one day? Yes, I am talking about visiting all four parks at Walt Disney World in Florida and then hopping over to the west coast to visit both parks there – all in under 24 hours! Well, Heather and Clark Ensminger from Tenessee did this ultimate park hopping challenge just that this past Wednesday and here is how it all played out.
First Leg
The Ensmingers arrived in Orlando and Walt Disney World for the first leg of their ultimate park hopping challenge on Tuesday evening and took it easy with a visit to Disney Springs. Then, on Tuesday morning when the sun was just coming up, their adventure began. First, they went to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to watch the sunrise at Toy Story Land.
Then There’s More
After that, they hopped over to Epcot and took a ride on iconic Spaceship Earth. From there, the Magic Kingdom was on tap as they got to meet-and-greet with the main cheese, Mickey Mouse. The Walt Disney World portion of their endeavor concluded at Animal Kingdom for a quick bite to eat before heading over to the airport to fly to California.
Going Back to Cali
Once the Ensmingers landed in Los Angeles, CA, they went straight to Disney California Adventure Park to experience Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout! Finally, they skipped across the Esplanade to finish their ultimate park hopping challenge at Disneyland Park.
The Ensingers are no strangers to Disney Parks, especially Walt Disney World. They estimated they spent about a month and a half during six different visits at Walt Disney World in the past 12 months. They are also parents of four children under the age of 10 but left them back home to complete this challenge.
Personal Meaning
This adventure had a very personal meaning to the Ensingers as well. Heather’s father passed away just about a year ago right before the entire family was set to take a family visit together. As the anniversary of his passing got a little closer, I was sort of having a hard time,” Heather said.
“Unbeknownst to me, my husband started planning this special trip to surprise me.” Unfortunately, the surprise was ruined just about a month ago by a random email but that didn’t dampen the trip in any way. Heather said “it turned out OK” because she had fun helping make the final arrangements.
When asked what caused the Ensingers to want to complete this ultimate Disney North American adventure, Heather said, “It’s magic! We’ve experienced tons of pixie dust over the years – the cast members always go out of their way to make things special.”
And that was true yet again over the course of this 24-hour sprint, Clark added: “It’s just been a dream come true.”
Way to go Ensingers on your completing the ultimate park hopping challenge!
