It’s Time For Some School Bread
There is lots of Disney Food guests have been craving lately. Some of the classic Disney foods, like Casey’s hotdogs, have not been available. But, there’s hope as we have seen more and more restaurants opening at all the Disney parks. EPCOT welcomed back Chefs de France this week at the French pavilion and it seems the Kringla bakeri og kafe at the Norway pavilion was open this weekend.
Kringla’s School Bread
The kringla Bakeri og kafe is famous for School Bread. This tasty Disney staple is a classic Norwegian sweet roll covered in vanilla icing and toasted coconut. It also has a creamy vanilla filling in the center. Anyone walking by Norway or standing in line for Frozen Ever After has most definitely smelled this treat baking. It’s not a bad idea to grab one to eat while waiting in line for Frozen Ever After.
My Disney Experience
The MDE app showed open times for Kringla bakeri today and tomorrow, September 26th and 27th. EPCOT park hours were extended this weekend and several fall weekends to come. The crowds are definitely growing at all Disney parks including EPCOT especially on the weekend. The hours listed Kringla as open from 11:30am to 7:00pm.
These hours disappear on Monday September 28th.
They reappear next weekend, October 3rd and 4th.
These hours are according to My Disney Experience, but might indicate that Kringla is only going to be open on the weekends for a while. Or, new hours during the week may be added. The weekend hours seem to extend through the fall. The “Temporarily Unavailable” label has been removed on MDE. Guests will have to keep an eye out to see if the bakery actually opens during the week.
Also in the Norway Pavilion, Akershus Royal Dining Hall is currently closed and operating as a relaxation station for guests who need to remove their masks and rest for a few minutes. No word on when it will reopen.
New shows, restaurants and entertainment is opening everyday at the Walt Disney World Parks. Keep watching MickeyBlog for updates on these phased re-opening.
