Ryan Reynolds Loves His Upcoming Film Free Guy
Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Ryan Reynolds (you know him from Deadpool) recently talked about his upcoming 20th Century Studios production, Free Guy.
We actually reported about Free Guy late last year.
The movie is now due for cineplexes in December, but despite the delay, Reynolds is VERY enthusiastic about the film.
“It’s my favorite film that I’ve ever been a part of,” said Reynolds. “It really is.
“And that says a lot because I’ve spent half my life working on Deadpool.”
This popcorn flick is a little different than his days as the “Merc With A Mouth.”
“It’s about a bank teller; each and every day he is shot at, he’s stabbed, run over, punched in the face, hurt, injured, maimed – all of these things,” explained Reynolds. “Then one day he realizes he’s a background character in an open-world video game.
“So he decides, ‘I’m going to take the power back and I’m going to change this world.’
“And that’s where it goes from there,” he said.

“It’s a total fastball of joy,” added Reynolds. “I think we need [that] right now.”
Agreed, Ryan. Agreed.
