Everything You Need To Know About Paradise Gardens Park at Disney California Adventure
Though the neighbouring Pixar Pier area of Disney California Adventure has been stealing all of the limelight as of late, there’s another lovely area that shouldn’t be overlooked -Paradise Gardens Park!
As one of the most uniquely themed areas in Disney California Adventure Park, Paradise Garden Park celebrates the romance and charm of waterfront leisure. As the name suggests its positioned around Paradise Bay and offers shopping, entertainment attractions, dining and more.
Attractions:
Silly Symphony Swings – Guests can experience the carefree thrill of flying as this traditional carnival ride carries you high into the sky to enjoy breathtaking views of all the park excitement below. This ride was inspired by the 1935 cartoon “The Big Band Concert” a short that features Mickey Mouse as a conductor who keeps his orchestra playing even as a tornado whisks them into the sky. The “William Tell Overture” from the short is used to set the mood. Guests must be 48 inches to ride.
Goofy’s Sky School –Climb aboard your flight-training vehicle. You’ll want to hang on tight as you to take off three stories in the area. You’ll zip and wind your way along 1,200 feet of track on a roller coaster ride that takes you up, down and all around. Based on Goofy’s hilarious “How To” cartoons from the 1940s and 1950s. A family-friendly coaster, Fastpasses are available for Goofy’s Sky School and its appropriate for little pilots as well!
Jumpin’ Jellyfish
Perfect for visitors 40 inches or taller, guest climb onboard one of 12 jellyfish where you’ll ascend a towering 40 feet on a kelp bed. At the top, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of Paradise Bay before gliding down, and then up again and again before making your way to the ground. Lasting only 90 seconds its perfect for those little guppies in your group!
Golden Zephyr
Hop inside your galactic gondola for a retro-themed blast from the past. This ride harkens back to movie matinees and pulp novels about space invaders. Each Golden Zephyr is finished with quadruple stabilizer fins, gold and chrome trim, running lights and underbelly strobes. Visitors ascend into the sky and rotate around an ornate making you feel like you’re off on an adventure beyond the stars.
The Little Mermaid- Ariel’s Undersea Adventure – Step into your clam-mobile and float away into some of your favorite magical moments and unforgettable music from The Little Mermaid. You’ll see many of your favorite Little Mermaid friends from Ariel to Sebastian but beware of a towering tentacled Ursual measuring 12 feet wide! This musical shell-abration is perfect for visitors of all ages.
Entertainment
World of Color: At night, Paradise Bay lights up as guests experience the wonder of Disney storytelling through music and scenes from beloved Disney and Pixar films during the nighttime spectacular “World of Color.” This magical show features dazzling special effects including projections on jets of water, lasers and pyrotechnics. FastPass for “World of Color” is available via Disney MaxPass on the Disneyland app and at the FastPass distribution machines located byThe Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure.
DIning
Bayside Brews – Guests will find a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as an assortment of soft-style pretzels.
Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta– Offers pizza, pasta, salads and snacks as well as Disney check meals for the kids.
The Paradise Garden Grill – A favorite, the menu changes seasonally offering up unique seasonal eats and treats available for a limited time.
Corn Dog Castle- Disneyland’s famous hand-dipped corn dogs can be found here!
Shopping:
Seaside Souvenirs – Here you’ll find merchandise options including speciality hats that can be custom embroidered. This open-air shop is inspired by the classic souvenir stands of the 1930’s.
Seasonal Celebrations
Oogie Boogie Bash – This Disney Halloween Party offers a new “World of Color” show that you can view along the waterfront at Paradise Gardens. “Villainous!” brings frightful Halloween fun Disneyland Resort. During the Oogie Boogie Bash (a separately ticketed Halloween event) the “Frightfully Fun Parade also winds its way through Paradise Gardens. Here you’ll find many of your favorite Disney baddies who come out to greet guests.
Lunar New Year! – Kick-off each year with a celebration of Asian culture, art and food.
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival – A celebration of California Cuisine happening every Spring and featuring delicious festival kitchens, workshops, culinary demonstrations, tasting events and more!
