More Cancellations
UPDATE MARCH 17: We’d like to thank you for your support in these challenging times.
We share your disappointment in regard to the suspension and postponement of our shows around the world and we want you to know we’re working with our partners to find solutions for everyone. pic.twitter.com/ywKSX8mUEJ

We knew it was coming, but it still hurts. MickeyBlog had tickets for the first preview show at Disney Springs THIS FRIDAY. Well, that ain’t happening anymore.
We certainly understand and support the reasoning for the cancellation, but this is like cancelling St. Patrick’s Day. Oh wait…
A Touch O’ Blarney
Happy St. Patrick's Day from The Walt Disney Family Museum! ☘️ As the tagline of Darby O'Gill and the Little People (1959) says, we hope that your St. Patrick's Day has "a touch o'blarney, a bit o'romance, and a heap o'laughter!" How are you celebrating St. Patrick's Day today? pic.twitter.com/qhWadv15Kx
— The Walt Disney Family Museum (@WDFMuseum) March 17, 2020
Darby O’Gill and the Little People was released in 1959. That’s right – over sixty years ago.
Did you know Sean Connery was in this movie? Yes, that Sean Connery.

It seems like we just read and heard the glorious news of Avengers Campus opening at Disney California Adventure on July 18. Well, that excitement has come to a screeching halt for the time being.
It makes sense that all construction projects will be put on hold, but only time will tell. For the record, we’re still very excited for WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure!
Yee-haw! Giddy-Up Partner!
— Tom Hanks (@tomhanks) March 17, 2020
Tom Hanks has been the bearer of good news recently. While the Covid-19 diagnosis he and his wife received certainly was unpleasant, Hanks and Wilson appear to be on the mend.
Oh! Will you take a look at that typerwriter?! A Corona typerwriter? You can’t make this stuff up.
Warm Hugs All Around
About to leave my first Olaf voicemail for someone who lost a family member to Covid 19. Please stay safe. This is heartbreaking.
— Josh Gad (@joshgad) March 17, 2020
Josh Gad is one of the funniest people in the world of Disney. He’s also one of the most compassionate.
Keep up the great work, Mr. Gad. You inspire us all to be better.

Just seeing this photo of Cinderella Castle from Walt Disney World is stressing me out. Sure, we all love to have our cake and eat it to, however, you can keep this cake! We don’t want it.
Still, a pretty funny tweet from @historyAtDisney. Just don’t post it again. Pretty please with a cherry on top.
What Have We Here?
A request was made for cosplayers to bring Disney to kids as the park is closed down.
The idea is that a #Disney character (which includes #marvel and #StarWars now) reads a book to them.
Here is my effort! Let’s share and bring joy! #cosplay

Kudos to Mr. Zed for dressing up and reading to The Child. I was wondering how hot it must have been in that armored suit…and then I realized he’s in front of a fireplace. WITH A FIRE GOING!
Mr. Zed almost put me to sleep so I’m sure he’s doing wonders for babies all over the country. Keep up the great work, Mr. Zed!
Sage Advice
We all need to heed Han’s advice right now…
"Keep your distance though, Chewie, but don't look like you' re trying to keep your distance.”#COVID19 #StarWars pic.twitter.com/YUxM7WrhK9

In an age where the term :social distancing” has become part of our nomenclature, we can all follow the direction of Han Solo. “Keep your distance, Chewie, but don’t look like you’re trying to keep your distance.
Stay safe, everybody!
The Question of the Day
y’all think the light in walt’s apartment is still on?
— Trang Dong (@tranganhdong) March 16, 2020
And finally…@tranganhdong raises an interesting question- “y’all think the light in walt’s apartment is still on?”
The light represents Walt’s spirit so we’ll bet the house it’s still on. It did make me wonder for a bried second though. Good question, Trang Dong.
