Disney Deserted: Aerial Video From WESH 2 News Shows An Empty Walt Disney World
It’s like something out of Avengers: Endgame; as in the scene after the blip when New York City looks abandoned.
My 7-year-old son Scotty, looking over my shoulder as I type, said as he watched the below news video, “It’s really weird to see the entire Disney World empty.”
It does look weird but, honestly, I’m glad everyone is home and heeding the CDC guidelines.
Disney announced Monday that it will close all hotels and resorts in Central Florida, and close its retail stores nationwide, as the number of cases of the new coronavirus continues to rise.
The move comes after the state’s theme parks closed on Sunday night for at least two weeks.
Again, even in the sadness we feel to see this happen, we must take solace in the fact that Disney and the Disney fan community are doing the right thing.
