Walt Disney World Wait Times for Second Week of November 2022
We’ve entered the weird part of November. Historically, this week and the next one can be slow, but that’s not always the case.
Meanwhile, the fourth week depends on whether it includes Thanksgiving, which is the case this year.
The week after should be slow, and we’ll remain that way until we reach mid-December. From then on, everything gets wild.
However, 2022 hasn’t worked as usual due to all sorts of chaos in the equation.
So, how were the wait times for the second week of November 2022? Let’s find out!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Last week, Animal Kingdom increased by a surprising amount.
The crowds were perfectly fine on the days we visited, some of which occurred during that timeframe.
How were they during the second week of November? Well, Avatar Flight of Passage averaged a wait of 96 minutes, down 16 minutes from the previous week.
As expected, the Halloween/start of Christmas apparently impacted the parks during the first week.
However, I’ll acknowledge right now that we’ve got another weird factor for this past week. Hurricane Nicole technically shut down the parks for parts of two days.
That could wreak havoc on what we’re tracking here. Keeping that in mind, here are the other averages at Animal Kingdom:
- Na’vi River Journey – 69 minutes, down 5
- Adventurers Outpost – 48 minutes, up 2
- Kilimanjaro Safaris – 40 minutes, down 12
- Expedition Everest – 24 minutes, down 6
- DINOSAUR – 15 minutes, down 9
- It’s Tough to Be a Bug! – 10 minutes, no change
- TriceraTop Spin – 10 minutes, down 2
Overall, guests waited an average of 34 minutes for Animal Kingdom attractions this past week. That’s a drop of nine minutes from last time.
So, what we faced last week appears to have been a one-off. Meanwhile, if anything, the hurricanes decreased wait times.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Then again, everything I said may prove wrong, depending on what happens here.
At Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, people stood in line for 110 minutes on average, which is seven minutes less than the last time.
Meanwhile, Slinky Dog Dash fell even more. Guests waited 89 minutes on average, an 11-minute drop.
We’re trending toward a slower week based on these data points. Let’s examine everything else at Disney’s busiest park:
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway – 65 minutes, up 2
- Twilight Zone Tower of Terror – 63 minutes, down 2
- Toy Story Mania! – 61 minutes, down 9
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – 59 minutes, down 8
- Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith – 58 minutes, down 13
- Red Carpet Dreams – 48 minutes, down 1
- Celebrity Spotlight – 38 minutes, up 6
- Alien Swirling Saucers – 35 minutes, down 6
- Meet Sulley at Walt Disney Presents – 32 minutes, up 8
- Star Tours – The Adventures Continue! – 25 minutes, down 4
- Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy – 15 minutes, no change
- Muppet*Vision 3D – 10 minutes, no change
Overall, guests waited 48 minutes for the average Hollywood Studios attraction, seven minutes less than last time.
Notably, only five attractions required a 60+ minute wait, although two more were close enough to count.
Also, Hollywood Studios had one other unique factor. Last week represents the first time that Fantasmic! operated almost every night.
I have to say almost because the weather forced the cancellation of one presentation.
Still, guests are staying at Hollywood Studios later due to Fantasmic! That could impact park behavior from now on.
EPCOT
Meanwhile, EPCOT was straightforward this week. Here are the average waits:
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure – 92 minutes, up 1
- Frozen Ever After – 86 minutes, down 9
- Test Track – 59 minutes, down 13
- Soarin’ Around the World – 38 minutes, down 21
- Royal Sommerhus – 30 minutes, down 13
- Mission: SPACE – 18 minutes, down 8
- Spaceship Earth – 15 minutes, down 4
- Living with the Land – 12 minutes, down 6
- Turtle Talk with Crush – 10 minutes, no change
- The Seas with Nemo & Friends – 9 minutes, down 12
- Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros – 8 minutes, down 8
- Journey into Imagination with Figment – 8 minutes, down 7
Overall, guests waited an average of 29 minutes at EPCOT. That’s 11 minutes less than last time.
In reviewing this data, we can safely confirm that the runDisney events dramatically impacted last week’s wait times at multiple parks.
EPCOT likely increased its wait times the most due to the larger crowds.
Magic Kingdom
Okay, here are the average waits at Magic Kingdom:
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – 82 minutes, down 10
- Jingle Cruise – 77 minutes, up 7
- Peter Pan’s Flight – 76 minutes, down 1
- Haunted Mansion – 57 minutes, down 2
- Town Square Theater – 55 minutes, up 8
- Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin – 52 minutes, down 3
- Princess Fairytale Hall – 46 minutes, down 4
- Space Mountain – 45 minutes, down 4
- Splash Mountain – 45 minutes, down 15
- Pirates of the Caribbean – 41 minutes, down 7
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad – 40 minutes, down 4
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh – 38 minutes, down 8
- Astro Orbiter – 35 minutes, no change
- It’s a Small World – 35 minutes, down 5
- Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid – 33 minutes, down 9
- Magic Carpets of Aladdin – 28 minutes, down 3
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant – 26 minutes, down 6
- The Barnstormer – 24 minutes, down 5
- Tomorrowland Speedway – 20 minutes, down 1
- Mad Tea Party – 19 minutes, down 1
- Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor – 16 minutes, down
- Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover – 16 minutes, down 3
- Prince Charming Regal Carrousel – 15 minutes, down 1
- Mickey’s PhilharMagic – 14 minutes, down 1
- Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress – 5 minutes, no change
- Country Bear Jamboree – 5 minutes, no change
Overall, Magic Kingdom guests stood in line for 37 minutes for the average attraction. That’s four minutes less than last time.
So, yeah, the combination of the hurricane and a post-marathon week led to smaller crowds. I expect much the same next week.
Then, things will get wild for a week, as guests spend Thanksgiving at Disney.
