MickeyBlog Gives You A First Look at the Disney Wish Atrium
If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog today then you may have seen that we’re aboard the Disney Wish for the new Disney Cruise Line Ships Inaugural Voyage. Our bloggers Greg and Elyssa have sent over some initial images of the lobby/atrium area of the ship and it is nothing short of magnificent.
Let’s take a closer look:
Here’s that magical moment where they’re welcomed aboard the ship!
As you can see our leaders are all smiles with the stunning statue of Cinderella and sweeping staircase in the back!
The Cinderella statue serves as the centerpiece of the arrival area!
She is even joined by Lucifer who seems intent on capturing a mouse or two!
Incredible ironwork on the stairway and ornate carpeting give the entire atrium a whimsical feel!
You can wish upon many stars with this stunning chandelier!
There are balconies on the two decks above that overlook the atrium giving you a real sense of enormous size of the chandelier.
The ship also features some never-seen-before details!
There’s a balcony that overlooks the atrium.
When Greg and Elyssa arrived Flynn and Rapunzel could be seen waving to the crowd.
Below is some footage of the incredible duo in action.
Just below the royal balcony is a stage.
This is absolutely perfect for performances that happen in the main lobby area throughout your sailing.
There’s a wonderful quote etched above the stage.
It reads “If you keep believing, the dream that you wish will come true.”
Burgundy sofas could be found throughout the lobby area.
We love the wonderful intimate porthole seating areas below.
Another stunning feature of the Wish is the slide that goes down into the Oceaneers Club!
Kids can just head straight down for the fun to begin!
As you can see the slide goes down to a lower deck before turning inside the kids club!
I really wish I could experience this through the eyes of a child!
Here’s a quick look as we head into the shopping district which is just off the lobby area.
None of the shops were open just yet but we’ll talk you through them later in our visit.
No detail was overlooked including the pumpkins in the lighting fixtures!
The lobby area felt wonderfully spacious.
All of the shops glistened with their metallic finishings and ornate flooring!
A display case shows some neat ship memorabilia!
Royal Regalia is one of the shops and it looks as if it will carry designer items including handbags!
It’s always fun to do a bit of shopping at sea.
The details in the main staircase are repeated throughout the ship!
Archways separate the different areas of the main floor.
Even though it was an invitation only cruise, it was quite packed!
We’ll be heading to the pool deck in a bit where the first of many deck parties is supposed to take place.
Keep following along with us as you won’t want to miss any of the incredible detais!
