Construction Walls Down Around Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
With only a month to go until opening, there’s a lot happening over at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Cast Member previews have already started and during our visit today we noticed that the construction walls have officially come down giving us a stunning view of the entire pavilion in all its intergalactic glory!
As you can see above, the front of the building is graced with a full-size model of the Nova Corps Starblaster.
This futuristic spacecraft looks absolutely out-of-this-world with its bright yellow exterior.
Now that the entire area of the pavilion is open you’ll definitely want to pop by and take those selfies!
The Starblaster fits in seamlessly with the remodeled exterior of the pavilion which was previously home to Ellen’s Energy Adventure.
Futuristic plants and palm trees give the pavilion a modern feel!
Above is a look at what will soon be the Stand-by and Lightning Lane queues.
The monorail runs alongside the pavilion offering fantastic views of the building housing this new attraction which opens on May 27th.
Disney will spend the next month giving cast members, DVC members, media and Annual Passholders a first look at the ride.
We know some people who have already climbed onboard and if early feedback is anything to go by, it’s going to be amazing!
You can see the Lightning Lane touchpoints and height requirement sign already in place at the entrance.
For those unfamiliar, this Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is inspired by the Guardians of the Galaxy films from Marvel.
Dubbed as a “family-thrill attraction,” Cosmic Rewind features the first ever reverse-launch on a Disney coaster.
It also has the distinction of being one of the largest fully-enclosed coasters in the world!
In another Disney first, the coaster also rotates 360 degrees meaning guests don’t miss a minute of the action!
Guests being your adventure in an area known as the Galaxarium.
The pre-ride experience takes you through a planetarium-like exhibition where you learn about the similarities and differences between Xandar and Earth.
During your visit you’ll discover some of the incredible wonders of Xandar and learn about their technology.
We’ve only got 36 more days until the attraction officially opens so start planning your Disney getaway now!
