Check Out Prosperity Bao & Buns Menu for the Lunar New Year Celebration at Disneyland Resort
The Lunar New Year Celebration event is currently in full swing over at Disney California Adventure in the Disneyland Resort! The lucky Greg and Elyssa from MickeyBlog are out there enjoying all the festival has to offer, and we’re having a great time sharing it with you all!
One of the most exciting aspects about any Disney park festival is, of course, the food! Excitingly, there’s a huge spread of exclusive offerings available to commemorate the Year of the Tiger, and we sure do wish we could sample them all!
For now, let’s head over to the marketplace booth named Prosperity Bao & Buns, and see what’s on offer there!
As you can see, some gorgeously-adorned tables have been set up outside the booth, with the most wonderful view of Pixar Pier for guests to admire whilst they dine.
So, now that we’ve found our table, let’s take a closer look at the menu at Prosperity Bao & Buns!
Available at this booth are two specialist dishes, and two drinks:
The Char-Siu BBQ Pork Bao, with pickled red onions and jalapeno, for $8
The Mickey Chinese Hot Dog Bun, which is a brioche-style, Mickey-shaped bun stuffed with sliced hot dog and finished with sesame seeds and scallions, for $7
The Prosperous Tiger cocktail, which consists of Svedka vodka, Coco Lopez, Angostura Bitters, Triple Sec, mandarin puree and vanilla bean paste for $15
And the Lychee Celebration, made up of gin, prosecco, lychee puree, lychee syrup, grapefruit juice and yuja, for $14.
It all sounds so good, but Greg and Elyssa settled on trying the Mickey Chinese Hot Dog Bun, washed down with the Lychee Celebration drink.
Don’t they look delicious?
The brioche-style Mickey Chinese Bun may look a bit like a Mickey Pretzel, but with so much more character! The hot dogs and scallions add flavor to the soft bun, and we have been assured that this was a really tasty snack indeed.
After all, doesn’t everything taste better when it’s Mickey-shaped?
The Lychee Celebration drink was also very good too, and looks lovely and summery topped with a purple flower.
All in all, we can safely say that the Prosperity Bao & Buns booth at the Lunar New Year Celebration event is a certain hit!
