Temperatures Set To Plummet in Central Florida This Evening
If you’ll be at Walt Disney World early this week, be sure to pack those hoodies, sweaters and jeans. You’ll definitely want to go for a layered look with your Disney-bounding as cooler temperatures are slated to hit Central Florida starting this evening.
A frost advisory has been issued for Central Florida that will go into effect this evening (January 23, 2022) starting at 2 am and will run through until 8 am. As you can see from the notification above, the temperature is expected to plummet below 33 degrees Fahrenheit.
New Advisories
Freeze Warning has been extended into Interior Volusia and Lake Counties.

As you can see from a recent report issued by WFTV, temperatures could reportedly get as low as 20 degrees tonight in Central Florida. Though the cooler temperatures shouldn’t have an impact at the theme parks, it is likely that Disney will opt to keep their water park Typhoon Lagoon closed. The water park has been closed several times over the last few weeks due to cooler temperatures.
As you can see from the images above, Typhoon Lagoon is closed today but hours are posted for the rest of the week. If you’re planning on a Disney World visit, I would pay close attention to these hours via disneyworld.com or the My Disney Experience App as Disney opts to keep the water parks closed when temperatures are below 60 degrees.
Above you can see the current forecast from Weather.com which shows low temperatures on Tuesday with a high of 57 degrees. The rest of the week is supposed to be in the mid to upper 60s with a few early mornings in the 40s.
