Actress Shelby Young took to the “Good Morning America” Twitter page this afternoon to share a few tips on how to get that perfect Disney princess voice for a few of our favorite heroines.

In a post originally dated on Thursday, the “American Horror Story” actress gave a super helpful tutorial. She should certainly know after her own voice over work as Princess Leia in the animated shorts, “Star Wars: Forces of Destiny.”
@shelbyhyoungThrowing it back to my first vid in my Disney series! What characters should I do for part 13?! ##fyp ##disney ##morph ##voiceover ##voiceactor ##tbt
She quickly morphs from Rapunzel, with her characteristic lisp and nasaly voice, to Belle with a simple elimination of said lisp, and then on to a series of Disney villains in her original TikTok tutorial.
@shelbyhyoungI owe y’all a part 13! I’ve thankfully been crazy busy. Until I have more time, enjoy this throwback! ##disney ##morph ##voiceover ##voiceactor ##fyp ##tbt♬ original sound – Shelby Young
Later, she shares tips on how to hit Snow White’s incredibly high-pitched tones and how to morph those into Allice’s quizzical dialect. That same tone lowers into Duchess from “The Aristocats” and then even lower still into Cinderella from the Disney classic animated film. Make sure to wait to see who finishes off the rounds of impersonations.
Young Shares Tips
“A lot of people don’t know much about the voice-over world. And I get that,” Young says in the video. “It’s kind of a behind-the-scenes job in a way because they aren’t seeing your face for the most part. You’re watching a cartoon or you’re playing a game, and a lot of people are so immersed in that that they aren’t thinking about the people behind the role, which is honestly a great thing.”
Thank you so much to @GMA for having me! (big big shoutout & thank you to news fellow @whitneytesi!) xx https://t.co/SHVwdOV4bw

Working on developing her incredible ear since she was a child, Young also shared that aspiring voice-over actors certainly can study and listen carefully to pick up new impersonations and personalities.
I did more Marvel Impressions including a scene from #BlackWidow that’s been living in my head rent free for 2 weeks now 😅 #impressions #tiktok pic.twitter.com/wXVZWq2ggZ

Aside from her insanely awesome TikTok tutorials, Young also currently brings imperial officer Captain Bragg to life on Star Wars’ original series, “The Bad Batch.”

To check out Young’s current work, tune into Disney+ for “The Bad Batch,” which drops every Friday on the streaming service.
