Join Us For Dinner At The Newly Opened Cape May Cafe!
If you were following along with MickeyBlog you’ll know that we started our morning off by enjoying a breakfast at the newly reopened Cape May Cafe at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort. Now we’re back to try out the new dinner menu and see how it stacks up again their am offering
Look familiar! The check-in process for the dinner offering is largely the same.
Here’s a quick look at the menu posted at the check-in area.
As with breakfast, the meals at Cape May are no longer buffets due to social distancing restrictions.
Instead the buffets are used as a prepping area with Disney’s brought to your table by your server.
Here’s a look at all of those fabulous dishes that we can’t wait to try!
First up was the bread selection. The basket featured Parker House Rolls and Cornbread!
It came with an awesome selection of spreads including Roaster Garlic-Herb Butter, Salted Butter and a Cheese Spread. Plant-based breads and spreads are also available for those with special dietary restrictions.
A Seasonal Harvest Salad was also brought to the table. It featured Arugula, Kale and Romaine with Orange Segments, Cherry Tomatoes, Red Onions and Sun-Dried Cherries. It is topped with a Citrus-Vanilla Vinaigrette (plant-based.)
Next up, it’s time for the Mains!
First up is the Turf Platter which features Slow-roasted Strip Loin with Chimichurri and House-made Steak Sauce, Oven-roasted Lemon-Pepper Chicken, Mashed Potatoes and Farmer’s Market Vegetables.
Our MickeyBloggers also ordered the steamed crab legs which are an additional cost of $29.99 per pound.
Above is the Seafood Boil which includes PEI Mussels, Peel-n-Eat Shrimp , Cape May Clams, Sustainable Catch of the Day, Red Bliss Potatoes, and Corn on the Cobb
We also had a chance to sample the Lobster Mac and Cheese!
Elyssa also sampled the plant based option which was a Portobello Steak a top pasta and seasonal vegetables.
While we wait for our dessert here’s a look at the restaurant itself.
Traffic was steady but the dining room felt nice and spread out.
Parties were socially distanced from one another.
Now it’s time for dessert.
Mini desserts are brought to the table with seven options for guests to try!
The menu doesn’t specify what desserts are included.
But this was a delicious rich and creamy dome with a milk chocolate Mickey icon on top.
The passionfruit mousse was brimming with seaside flavors.
There’s also a plant-based tiramisu for all you coffee lovers!
Profiteroles were also on the dessert tray this evening.
Along with a colorful panacotta and a beautiful white chocolate treat!
A meal here will set you back $42 per adult and $25 per child plus tax and gratuity.
Thanks for going on that culinary journey with us! Our MickeyBlogger Greg also streamed the whole thing which you can see in its entirety above!
