New Mickey & Co. Fashion Line is Made From Plastic Bottles
Disney has just released a new fashion line, Mickey & Co., in which the materials are (at least) 45% recycled plastic bottles- some of which come from the Walt Disney World resort!
The fashion industry is a large contributor to the waste problem we are currently facing, so Disney taking this initiative is absolutely wonderful to see.
Mickey Mouse Backpack – Mickey & Co. – $39.99
The backpack has the collection’s logo on a yellow background, with the front pocket having a black and red color scheme- all matching Mickey Mouse.
The backpack is made from 50% REPREVE® recycled fibers from plastic bottles.
Mickey’s color scheme can be seen throughout the backpack.
Mickey Mouse Satin Jacket for Women – Mickey & Co. – $49.99
The satin jacket has a plain black background, with Mickey in various poses scattered across the design.
The inner lining of the jacket is plain black.
The satin is made from 45% REPREVE® recycled fibers from plastic bottles- the lowest from this collection.
Mickey Mouse Belt Bag – Mickey & Co. – $29.99
We all know that belt bags are the perfect park accessory! This comes shows Mickey’s face in various poses on different block color backgrounds.
The belt bag is made from 50% REPREVE® recycled fibers from plastic bottles.
Mickey Mouse Pullover Sweatshirt for Adults – Mickey & Co. – $42.99
The pullover sweater is the brightest addition in this collection, with the sleeves being yellow and blue, and the main portion of the sweatshirt being red with Mickey’s face on.
The back portion of the sweatshirt is mainly blue, apart from the one yellow sleeve.

This comes in the same week that Disney has announced that they will be selling their classic princess dolls in plastic-free packaging from now on, and we have to say, we’re impressed!
Hopefully, this is just the beginning of Disney taking a cleaner eco-footprint in their merchandise. We can’t wait to see what they bring out next as they take the first steps towards helping the environment.
