Lucasfilm Plans On Releasing At Least Four New Shows a Year
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog since Disney’s big Investor’s Day Call last month then you know that there are so many new Star Wars and Lucasfilm projects in the pipeline that its hard to keep track. And, according to a recent post in We Got This Covered, that’s exactly how Lucasfilm likes it!
According to Daniel Ritchman, the same person that just reported that the studio has its sights on Chris Pratt for upcoming Indiana Jones projects, Lucasfilm wants to release at least four new shows annually.
As of going to print, Lucasfilm looks like it’s off to a good start in fulfilling this ambition. Among the projects already slated for the Disney+ streaming network is Ahsoka, The Book of Boba Fett, Obi Wan Kenobi, The Acolyte, The Bad Batch, Visions, A Droid Story, Rogue Squadron, Lando, Rangers of the New Republic and Andor. There is a TON of Star Wars related content coming to Disney+ but the massive success of The Mandalorian has definitely pointed to the fact that the appetite for Star Wars spinoffs is definitely there.
