New Disney Junior Stage Show Coming to Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Paris may be closed until February, but that hasn’t stopped the big plans for Walt Disney Studios Park in 2021! The Resort released a sneak peak of the upcoming family-friendly show, Disney Junior Dream Factory.
Studio D
This new 20-minute stage show takes place in the redesigned “Studio D”. Studio D formerly housed the Disney Junior Live stage show. The venue was reimagined into a “flexible space” that can be configured for both Disney Junior shows, as well as other audience formats in the future.
The bells and whistles don’t stop there. The venue has also been integrated for loads of cool new special effects, the two year brainchild of American Celebration theater designer Scott Shaffer.
Stage Show
In the behind-the-scenes Youtube video (captioned in English). Dream Factory producer Claire Salmon and show director Paul Chychota take us to the colorful new set – a life sized, mechanical, working factory complete with spinning gears, dangling coils and even a twisty slide!
The premise of the stage show revolves around this striking factory, which harnesses big dreams to create the magic for the world.
The factory crew use dream orbs to collect the dreams of the cast and audience. The orbs move into a central processor, which transports them deeper into the machine to harness their powerful energy. But there’s a plot twist! Something goes wrong and it’s time to call in some experts!
Disney Junior Characters
Mickey and Minnie, our Dream Experts, clad in 1940s-inspired factory uniforms, arrive through a magic teleporter to assess the situation. The diagnosis: someone inside the factory isn’t dreaming! Time to call for backup!
Additional Disney Junior favorites arrive, marking the first time that Timon, Vampirina and Fancy Nancy have appeared at Disneyland Paris! The factory crew invites guests to participate and together they form an energetic and lively show full of silly songs and fun dances in a fun factory setting.
Musical Inspiration
Chycota said the inspiration for the new production came to him while listening to Disney Junior music. The common thread Chycota heard was dreams come to life as long as you believe. That’s how the Dream Factory was born!
The energy of this vibrant new show is sure to be a hit with Disney Junior fans of all ages! Disneyland Paris is scheduled to reopen February 12, 2021.
