Ultimate Review of Baby’s First Haircut at Disney World
When you walk into Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, the first section you see is Main Street U.S.A.’s Town Square. We’re taken back to the 20th century; there’s a Firehouse, City Hall, a bakery, even a theatre. The only thing missing is a barber shop. Oh wait, there is actually one of those too! You can actually get your baby’s first haircut here!
Hidden in the left-hand corner of Main Street U.S.A. Town Square is a fully functioning, old-fashioned and quaint little barber shop, complete with a red and white striped pole. If you ever wanted to have a unique experience at Disney World, then why not have a haircut.

Baby’s First Haircut
Harmony Barber Shop’s first haircut experience comes with more than just a haircut and on my last visit to Disney World I was able to accompany my sister and her son for his first haircut experience and it was adorable. We couldn’t make an appointment, but when we got to the park we went to see if they had any openings and they did! They booked us for 10:30 and so we moseyed around the park for a about an hour and then made are way back.
When we arrived, we were immediately seated. My nephew is only 12 months old and as you can see he was a little upset…
But our hairstylist, Diane, was amazing with him. She immediately started talking to him and giving him stickers and even brought out a Mickey figurine toy for him play with. Then once he was content she got to work.
Throughout the haircut Diane interacted with him and every time she stopped to talk to him his attention was 100% on her…it was so cute.
The haircut only took about thirty minutes from beginning to end and once the haircut was over he was given a special Mickey ear hat that was embroidered with ‘My 1st Haircut’ and then Diane had him pose for a picture.
Along with the Mickey ear hat you also receive a certificate commemorating the experience.
The experience was amazing, and it is a cool and clever way to receive some unique souvenirs. After he was finished we had him pose in front of the pole!
You can book reservations for your baby’s first haircut up to 180 days in advance, but if for some reason you aren’t able to get a reservation you can always check while you are at the park. Sometimes they will have open appointments or last minutes cancellations so don’t be afraid to stop by and ask.
The shop is set up like a real barber shop, which means they do not wash hair. They use a spray bottle to get it wet so make sure to come with clean hair.
In and Out
Each appointment is only about 15 to 30 minutes, so it won’t take up much of your day.
Don’t worry about age, as long as they have hair they will cut it.
For 1st haircuts they will also save some of the hair for you if you would like to keep it.
Hello Disney Fans! Janie here. I was a Disney kid growing up and now that I am an adult I love it even more. Whether its movies, music, parks, or games I just can’t get enough of it. I visit Disney World at least twice a year and even when I’m not there it’s all I can think about!
Do they do adult womens hair?
