Here’s How to Celebrate Halfway to the Holidays in Disney Style!
In case you haven’t heard, Disney is currently celebrating Halfway to the Holidays, and they want fans to get into the spirit of the season, even if it is still June.
As such, Disney has shared some ideas for how to celebrate Christmas in the summer and get ready for all the magic that Disney has in store for guests later this winter!
If you ask us, it is never too early to start looking ahead to the holidays! So, here is what you can do to get into the spirit of the season.
A Disney Gingerbread Recipe
If you have ever visited Walt Disney World during the holiday season, then you know that the resort creates amazing gingerbread structures.
Well, thanks to Disney, you can now do a virtual gingerbread house crawl and examine all the splendor and wonder of Disney’s festive structures.
Additionally, you can make gingerbread cookies just like the Disney Eats team does with this recipe!
Now that your home smells like fresh-baked gingerbread cookies, perhaps it’s time for a Christmas movie marathon.
A Disney Christmas Movie Marathon
On Disney+, you can watch classics, including The Santa Clause, Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Home Alone.
It may only be June, but a marathon of these movies will have you looking outside to make sure it’s not snowing.
Disney Holiday Wallpapers
In celebration of Halfway to the Holidays, Disney released a slew of new festive wallpapers that would look great on any device.
You can check out the new designs here. Adding a Christmas wallpaper is sure to get you in the holiday spirit!
Celebrate in the Disney Parks By Making Your Own Ornament
As many Disney fans know, there are locations at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort where it is the holiday season year-round.
If you have a Disney trip on the horizon, why not create a personalized ornament. You can commemorate your vacation and create a special bobble for your tree at different locations across both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
These Christmas hotspots include Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Days of Christmas at Disney Springs, and Plaza Point at Disneyland Park!
All you have to do is pick out an ornament of your choosing and bring it to the personalization counter to add your own touch of Disney holiday magic.
Write a Letter to Santa
Speaking of Ye Older Christmas Shoppe, did you know that the Magic Kingdom shopping location allows you to write a letter to Santa? During select times of the year, the store even provides visitors with crayons and special stationery.
If the letter-writing station is closed at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, you can still mail your letter at any mailbox located across the resort.
Winter Summerland Minature Golf
One of the best-kept Disney secrets is the Winter Summerland Minature Golf at Walt Disney World.
Designed by Santa himself, guests can choose from the “Summer” sand course or the “Winter” snow course.
According to legend, when flying high over Florida, Santa saw a peculiar patch of snow and decided that it would be the perfect vacation destination for his elves. The rest, as they say, is history.
Plan a Disney Trip!
Finally, if you really want to get a jumpstart on the holiday season, why not plan a winter trip to the Disney Parks.
