The last time we checked in on the construction of the Disney Treasures, we were given a closer look at the aforementioned Haunted Mansion parlor. Now, Disney has given fans a glimpse at some of the artwork that will be showcased on the new ship.
Introducing Lina Barr
Among the many people working to make the Disney Treasure a magical experience for guests is Lina Barr. The senior concept designer was tasked with creating custom artwork for the ship’s signature venues, including the Agrabah-inspired Grand Hall and the Skipper Society, a Jungle Cruise-inspired lounge.

According to Lina, her creative process begins by talking to Walt Disney Imagineering, where she learns about the theming of each venue. According to Disney, this is “not a typical meeting”, but instead a true collaboration between the artist and interior designer.
Turning Inspiration Into Art
Lina then begins to develop dynamic artwork to complement each space on the ship. Leaning on the inspiration from the individual venues, she creates a rough sketch on her computer before adding color and details.

Lina’s final pieces often have amazing details that hold their own meaning. These vary from hidden Mickeys to Easter eggs. When her work is complete, Lina loves to watch guests’ reactions to her designs.
