Venu Sports Announces Its Senior Management Team
While we still do not have a launch date for Venu Sports, the streaming joint venture from Fox, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Disney, the company is continuing to come together.
Today, Venu announced the hiring of multiple executives who will make up the joint venture’s senior leadership team.

Among those hired are Brian Borkowski (Chief Marketing Officer), Tim Connoly (Chief Business Officer), Amit Dudakia (Senior Vice President and Head of Product), Skarpi Hendinsson (Chief Technology Officer), David Hillman (Chief Legal Officer), Gautam Ranji (Chief Financial Officer), and Judy Schwab (Senior Vice President and Head of People).
The new team will report to CEO Pete Distad.

“Getting the chance to assemble the starting lineup for the management team responsible for building the Venu organization, creating the culture, setting the pace of innovation, and ultimately, fueling the growth behind our forthcoming service has been an incredible opportunity,” Distad said in a press release.
“We searched for people with an entrepreneurial spirit who could bring diverse perspectives to Venu Sports with experience launching beloved consumer products and growing high-performing teams, and brought together a group of all-stars in their respective fields.”
What Is Venu Sports?
When it launches, Venu Sports will look to be the ultimate streaming service for sports fans.

The new app will include Disney-owned ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACCN, ESPNEWS, and the ABC broadcast network. ESPN+ will also be included.
Warner Bros. Discovery will contribute to TNT, TBS, and TruTV, while Fox will pitch in FS1, FS2, and the Big Ten Network.

While Venu Sports is expected to launch later this year, neither an exact date nor a price point have been announced yet. It is possible that the latter will be dependent on whether Oro or Warner Bros. Discovery really loses its NBA broadcasting rights.
