‘The Acolyte’ Star Dafne Keen Discusses Working With Lee Jung-jae and Hugh Jackman
For the latest Star Wars streaming series, The Acolyte, former Logan star Dafne Keen got traded in her adamantium claws for a lightsaber.
In The Acolyte, which debuted on Disney+ on June 4, 2024, Keen plays Jecki Lon, a half-human, half-Theelin Jedi Padawan. Her master in the series is Lee Jung-jae’s Sol, a serious but caring Jedi Master.

In a recent interview with ETimes, Keen was asked what it was like working with Lee Jung-jae, especially after getting to work with Hugh Jackman on Logan.
Praise For Lee Jung-jae
“First of all, I feel fortunate to have worked with such wonderful people because there are some horrible people out there,” Keen replied.

I have been very lucky that the adult figures I got to work with have been so incredible. Hugh (Jackman) was such a gentle scene partner. He was truly like a fake dad when we were filming Logan, which was really, really lovely. And JJ (Lee Jung-Jae) was sort of like a master. I truly felt like we had that relationship on set where he was someone who I really respected and looked up to.”
“I Learned a Lot From Both”
Reflecting back on her career as a whole, Keen was cognizant of the fact that she has been lucky to work with such talented actors.

“It’s really such an honour as a young person to get to be around such talented veterans from the industry that I love so much and that hopefully someday I get to be in the position that they’re in.” She continued, “It was just really enjoyable to just kind of be a sponge and soak all of their knowledge in. I think that they’re both very different in a way, and I learned a lot from both of them.”
As for The Acolyte, Keen had nothing but praise for both the team as a whole and showrunner Leslye Headland in particular.

“I just feel like the more senior team that worked creatively on this production was so wonderful. And director Leslye (Headland) was such an amazing guide for us through it all. I feel really, really fortunate to have worked with people I worked with.”
