Rahul Kohli Reveals That He Auditioned For Reed Richards in ‘The Fantastic Four’
While Pedro Pascal has officially been named the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, it has been a long road to match the man with the character.
For years, Marvel fans would share their “dream cast” for a possible MCU version of the Fantastic Four. While John Krasinski was perhaps the most popular choice to play Reed Richards, another name that was frequently thrown around was Rahul Kohli.

Interestingly, in a recent interview with Salaam Nerds, Kohli revealed that he actually auditioned for the role of Reed Richards, though eventually, Marvel chose to go with Pascal.
Kohli Reflects on His Marvel Experience
After the topic of fan support came up, the House of Usher Star had this to say.
“Yeah, I don’t know if I’m allowed to talk about it but I didn’t get it, is the important thing. But on good days, I see the Constantine,” Kohli said in an interview with Salaam Nerds. “It will flare up once and again. And, I love all of them. On good days, you’re like, ‘Man, I’m wanted!’ People really want to see. You’re the guy that people will shout out for anything.”

“On bad days, ‘It’s a reminder that you’re not the guy. You’re not there. These are the roles you’ll never get.’ So, it’s sweet and it’s perspective. It’s how you feel about yourself,” he continued.
Does Marvel Take Fan Opinion Into Consideration?
While it is interesting to hear that Kohli was considered for the role of Mr. Fantastic, it also speaks to the fact that Marvel may take fan opinion into consideration.

Following the avalanche of online support, Marvel cast Krasinski as a variant of Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Now, however, after years of speculation, Marvel has their Mr. Fantastic — Pedro Pascal.
