The ‘Marvel Television’ Banner Has Been Resurrected As Marvel Studios Reveals New Structure
In the three years since Marvel Studios dove head first into the world of streaming with 2021’s WandaVision, a lot has changed.
After releasing content at a breakneck speed to meet Disney’s streaming demands, Marvel is slowing things down and will release new content more meticulously.

Up next on the docket for Marvel will be Agatha All Along, which will hit Disney+ this September. The series will be followed by Daredevil: Born Again and Ironheart next year.

Interestingly, when Marvel previewed the upcoming shows at Disney’s upfront presentation, they also revealed that the series will be released under the Marvel Television label.
Helping Fans Navigate the MCU
For those who don’t know, prior to the advent of WandaVision, Marvel Television was a separate studio that produced standalone content like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Netflix Defenders Saga series.
When Marvel Studios decided to enter the world of television in 2021, the Marvel Television Studio was disbanded.

In a recent interview with Comicbook.com, Marvel Studios Head of TV, Streaming, and Animation Brad Winderbaum explained why Marvel chose to revive the defunct label.
“We want to make sure that Marvel stays an open door for people to come in and explore,” Winderbaum said.

“On the heels of ‘Endgame,’ I think there was, maybe, a little bit of an obligation to watch absolutely everything in order to watch anything. As you know, as a comics fan, they’re designed to just pop in, find something that you like, and use that to enter you into the universe, and then you can explore and weave around based on your own preferences. So part of the rebranding of Marvel Studios, Marvel Television, Marvel Animation, even Marvel Spotlight is to, I think, try to tell the audience, ‘You can jump in anywhere. They’re interconnected but they’re not. You don’t have to watch A to enjoy B. You can follow your bliss. And you can follow your own preferences and find the thing you want within the tapestry of Marvel.'”
The New Marvel Structure
Much like Marvel did with the launch of Marvel Spotlight for Echo, the new Marvel Television label is designed to signal to audiences that they can enjoy the series without necessarily being caught up in the broader MCU.
By the looks of things, Marvel will now be broken up into four distinct categories:

One of fan’s biggest complaints since the MCU expanded to streaming was that it was becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with. It looks like Marvel has heard those concerns and answered them with a new structure.
