WATCH: The Second Trailer For ‘The Acolyte’ Dives Into a Mystery of the High Republic
Star Wars Day 2024 was another one for the history books for Star Wars fans, with the release of exclusive merchandise, the return of The Phantom Menace to theaters, and the debut of Tales of Empire on Disney+.

While May the 4th did a great job celebrating Star Wars’s past, it also gave fans a glimpse at the future with the release of a second trailer for The Acolyte.
What Is ‘The Acolyte’
For those who don’t know, The Acolyte is set 100 years before the events of The Phantom Menace and will introduce audiences to the era of the High Republic.
According to the show’s official synopsis:
“An investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems.”

Set during a time when the Jedi were at the height of their power, The Acolyte is promising more lightsaber battles than any other Star Wars project.
