Disney World Braces For Inclement Weather as Storms Head Toward Central Florida
Continuing a weeks-long trend, Central Florida and Disney World are in for another stormy day today.
Meteorologists are warning that a line of strong to severe storms will pass through Central Florida this afternoon with rain, lightning, and damaging wind gusts of over 60 miles an hour in the forecast. Additionally, there is an outside chance for a tornado and hail. While a Tornado Watch has been issued for parts of Central and Northern Florida, Disney World does not currently appear to be at risk.
A wind advisory, however, will remain in effect until 8 p.m.
Disney World will be in the storm’s path between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Prior to the storms, the forecast is calling for a warm and windy day with temperatures reaching the mid-80s.
