WATCH: ‘Descendants: The Rise of Red’ Trailer Has Arrived!
The latest chapter in the Descendants franchise is set to arrive July 12 when Descendants: The Rise of Red officially premieres on Disney+.
The fourth installment in the Descendants franchise will star Kylie Cantrall as Red, the daughter of the Queen of Hearts and princess of the hostile kingdom of Wonderland.

“When her mother, the tyrannical Queen of Hearts (Rita Ora), incites a coup against Auradon, Red must join forces with Chloe (Cinderella and King Charming’s daughter played by Malia Baker) to travel back in time and undo the traumatic event that set the queen down her villainous path,” the show’s synopsis reads.
The Film’s Large Cast
In addition to Cantrall, Baker and Ora, the film stars Brandy as Cinderella, Dara Reneé as Uliana, Ruby Rose Turner as Bridget/Young Queen of Hearts, Morgan Dudley as Ella/Young Cinderella, Joshua Colley as Young Hook, Peder Lindell as Morgie, Grace Narducci as Fay/Young Fairy Godmother, Jeremy Swift as Principal Merlin, Paolo Montalban as King Charming and Leonardo Nam as Maddox Hatter.

China Anne McClain will also reprise her role as Uma, Ursula’s daughter.
Descendants: The Rise of Red will feature seven new original songs, as well as a cover of “So This is Love” from Cinderella and two reprises. A soundtrack album for the film will also be released on July 12.

In the clip, Red and Chloe meet for the first time as the former vandalizes their school hall. Chloe is then shocked to learn that Red is her new roommate.
