This New “Lightweight” Lion King Spirit Jersey Will Have You Saying “Hakuna Matata”
As hard as it is to believe, The Lion King is officially celebrating its 30th anniversary this year!
For three decades, the film has been a staple of pop culture and seemingly has grown more popular as time has passed. Perhaps it’s the permanence of the film that makes it so surprising that The Lion King is a 30-year-old film.

If you ever doubt the lasting popularity of The Lion King, just visit any Disney store. There, you will find Simba, Nala, Timon, and Pumbaa merchandise.
Celebrate The Lion King at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
The official home of The Lion King’s 30th anniversary this year is Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Perhaps it is no surprise then that the park’s stores are brimming with new Lion King souvenirs.
While we have previously brought you updates on many of the new arrivals, I want to turn your attention to The Lion King spirit jersey that we spotted today.
A “Lightweight” Spirit Jersey
This long-sleeved spirit jersey is the perfect attire for a day of adventure at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The front of the black shirt simply has The Lion King logo in a red-to-yellow ombre color scheme.
The back of the spirit jersey reads “Hakuna Matata” in the same red-to-yellow ombre color scheme as the logo on the front.
Beneath the iconic phrase, Timon, Pumbaa, and Simba are happily marching- just like in the film!
