Walt Disney World Wait Times for Fourth Week of March 2024
When we talked about Spring Break crowds last week, they were unmistakably large.
Over the past few days, the crowds haven’t been as noticeable, which explains why the price of Disney Genie+ dropped for a while.
However, the service then reached its highest price of 2024 over the weekend, which puts us in a weird place.
Apparently, right around the time you read this, the Spring Break and Easter crowds have picked up again.
But we’re talking about the Walt Disney World Wait Times for last week, which should be more reasonable.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Seriously, here were the crowds on Monday, March 18th. Contrast that to what our ace reporters tracked on March 14th.
Now consider the Disney Genie+ prices this past Saturday, March 23rd.
Park officials will tell you how big they expect the crowds to be based on Disney Genie+ pricing.
So, we know that the service’s cost dropped for almost a week before surging again.
We’re evaluating the data from that gap week this time. So, most attractions should show significantly shorter wait times.
But did they? Here are the average waits at Animal Kingdom last week:
- Avatar Flight of Passage – 77 minutes, down 45
- Na’vi River Journey – 52 minutes, down 24
- Adventurers Outpost – 41 minutes, down 11
- Expedition Everest – 37 minutes, down 21
- Kilimanjaro Safaris – 30 minutes, down 25
- Kali River Rapids – 22 minutes, down 9
- DINOSAUR – 18 minutes, down 16
- It’s Tough to Be a Bug! – 10 minutes, down 5
- TriceraTop Spin – 10 minutes, down 5
Overall, guests at Animal Kingdom stood in line for an average of 34 minutes per attraction.
That’s a comical 19 minutes or 35 percent less than last time. So, yeah. Signs point to a slower week at Disney.
Remember that doesn’t mean it was slow compared to an average week, just not as crowded as last time.
Obviously, the Spring Break rush was real during the previous wait times evaluation.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
As I state almost weekly, Hollywood Studios often proves the exception to what’s happening elsewhere at Walt Disney World.
Even though Animal Kingdom’s crowds told a story, Hollywood Studios may prove the aberration.
But I’m not expecting that today since the early Spring Break crowds were so sizable last time.
Am I right? Here are the average wait times at Hollywood Studios last week:
- Slinky Dog Dash – 90 minutes, down 34
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – 69 minutes, down 34
- Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run – 62 minutes, down 30
- Toy Story Mania! – 51 minutes, down 21
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway – 49 minutes, down 30
- Twilight Zone Tower of Terror – 45 minutes, down 37
- Red Carpet Dreams – 36 minutes, down 8
- Alien Swirling Saucers – 34 minutes, down 15
- Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy – 15 minutes, no change
- Celebrity Spotlight – 14 minutes, down 13
- Star Tours – The Adventures Continue! – 14 minutes, down 19
- Muppet*Vision 3D – 10 minutes, no change
These numbers speak for themselves, but I’ll spell them out.
For the week, guests waited for an average of 37 minutes per attraction, which is 18 minutes or 33 percent less than last time.
Hollywood Studios rarely requires such a modest average wait, so it was slow, not just less crowded than the previous week.
EPCOT
There’s no need to beat you over the head with this one. We know that the parks were slower last week.
Here are EPCOT’s average wait times:
- Frozen Ever After – 69 minutes, down 35
- Test Track – 61 minutes, down 26
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure – 58 minutes, down 45
- Mission: SPACE – 43 minutes, up 5
- Royal Sommerhus – 34 minutes, down 5

- The Seas with Nemo & Friends – 11 minutes, down 14
- Living with the Land – 10 minutes, down 11
- Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros – 9 minutes, down 9
- Journey into Imagination with Figment – 8 minutes, down 8
Overall, EPCOT guests waited for an average of 31 minutes per attraction, which is 16 minutes or 34 percent less than last time.
Magic Kingdom

- Pete’s Silly Sideshow – 33 minutes, down 7
- Town Square Theater – 33 minutes, down 8
- The Barnstormer – 27 minutes, down 9
- Enchanted Tales with Belle – 27 minutes, down 11
- Pirates of the Caribbean – 27 minutes, down 19
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant – 26 minutes, down 12
- It’s a Small World – 25 minutes, down 14
- Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid – 25 minutes, down 13
- The Magic Carpets of Aladdin – 23 minutes, down 8

Final Thoughts
Overall, Magic Kingdom guests waited an average of 28 minutes, 10 minutes or 26 percent less than last time.
To a larger point, the four parks required an average wait of 31 percent less than the previous week.
Generally, Spring Break crowds are more evenly distributed across several weeks.
What we’re witnessing here is a rarity. It’s easy to tell from this data when families could travel in March.
