Is Haunted Mansion’s Floating Candelabra Gone for Good in Magic Kingdom?
Grim-grinning ghosts and Disney fans love this attraction, but notice one thing is still missing! Is Haunted Mansion’s floating candelabra gone for good?
It is now almost April and the candelabra is still missing from this classic ride. The fan-fave prop appears in one of the most popular scenes, the Endless Hallway, but has been missing for months.

The special effect is one of my favorites where a floating candelabra drifts down the hall. Hitch-hiking ghosts and fans alike are curious as to what has become of this haunted prop.
Missing Candelabra
Fans everywhere love to board their doom buggies and enjoy this classic Disney attraction. Today, we hopped on the ride again and noticed the candle missing from the Hallway scene.

Here is a photo from that scene today, but also check out the concept art that Disney first released last year in September.

You’ll notice it is also missing the candle in that image. As of today, the candle is still gone, and it was gone from the initial concept art as well.
Does this mean the candelabra is gone for good? Or it is being re-imagined in a new way?

Hatbox Ghost
The attraction has experienced other updates. The Hatbox Ghost was added just after the hallway scene a few months back– the ghostly image is still there, but the candelabra is missing.

Missing candelabra
Disney hasn’t shared any info on why the candelabra is missing or if it is coming back. In the meantime, we will be watching (and riding) to stay updated.
