Mattel Recalls Disney Fisher Price Toy Set
A popular series of Disney toys manufactured by Mattel is being recalled due to a potential choking hazard.
Health Canada has issued a product recall notice for the Fisher-Price Little People Mickey & Friends Figure Pack due to the choking risks posed by the Donald and Daisy Duck figures.
Both figures are about 7 centimeters tall and feature Donald and Daisy in their traditional outfits. The figure pack can be identified by the model number HPJ88, which can be found on the base of the Goofy figure.
Only the Donald and Daisy Figures Present a Danger
According to the notice, both the Donald and Daisy figures’ heads can become detached during use and present a choking hazard.
“Only the Donald Duck and Daisy Duck figures present a choking hazard risk,” the notice says.
According to Mattel, 204,000 units of the affected products were sold in the United States, while an additional 11,321 units were sold in Canada. The toys were sold between June 2023 and February 2024.
In total, Mattel received three reports of heads detaching from the figures in the United States. No injuries have been reported.
