Walt Disney World Wait Times for Second Week of March 2024
Spring Break has started in some parts of North America!
While every school system works differently in this regard, these rolling vacation breaks lead to the same outcome.
Disney crowds increase in March and sometimes into early April.
Did the parks already witness the impact of such trips?
We’ll find out in the Walt Disney World wait times for the second week of March 2024.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
I went ahead and peeked this week, and I can tell you that we’re not going to notice much of a Spring Break impact yet.
That’s understandable because most Spring Break-related traffic only arrived at the parks on Saturday or Sunday.
So, we probably won’t notice much of an uptick until this week, and crowds will gradually increase as Easter approaches.
I say probably because Disney has grown less predictable over the past three years.
Keeping all the above in mind, here are Animal Kingdom’s average wait times last week:
- Avatar Flight of Passage – 101 minutes, up 3
- Na’vi River Journey – 67 minutes, down 3
- Adventurers Outpost – 47 minutes, down 4
- Expedition Everest – 39 minutes, down 2
- Kilimanjaro Safaris – 35 minutes, down 7
- DINOSAUR – 25 minutes, down 2
- It’s Tough to Be a Bug! – 15 minutes, no change
- TriceraTop Spin – 11 minutes, no change
Overall, the average wait time for Animal Kingdom attractions was 39 minutes, two minutes less than last time.
As a reminder, we are still tracking on the high side for Animal Kingdom, which means crowds were still sizable this past week.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
At this park, the continued absence of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith continues to have an impact.
With one less E-ticket attraction available, the other options experience longer waits.
We’ve noticed inflated wait times during the past two months, albeit with some ups and downs.
How were the average wait times at Hollywood Studios last week? Let’s check:
- Slinky Dog Dash – 100 minutes, down 2
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – 87 minutes, no change
- Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway – 68 minutes, up 5
- Twilight Zone Tower of Terror – 62 minutes, up 6
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – 61 minutes, up 8
- Toy Story Mania! – 60 minutes, no change
- Alien Swirling Saucers – 40 minutes, up 1
- Red Carpet Dreams – 39 minutes, down 1
- Celebrity Spotlight – 22 minutes, no change
- Star Tours – The Adventures Continue! – 18 minutes, up 2
- Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy – 15 minutes, no change
- Muppet*Vision 3D – 10 minutes, no change
Overall, Hollywood Studios guests stood in line for an average of 44 minutes per attraction.
That’s three minutes less than last time and standard overall for Hollywood Studios.
Still, we’ve got two or three more months without Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, which will keep wait times slightly higher than normal.
EPCOT
With the 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival in full effect, Disney fans love their park visits.
The new projection-mapped Coco topiary is breathtaking, and the food is, if anything, better than ever.
But how were the crowds last week? Let’s take a look at the average wait times:
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure – 87 minutes, up 8
- Frozen Ever After – 86 minutes, no change
- Test Track – 68 minutes, up 2
- Soarin’ Around the World – 51 minutes, no change
- Royal Sommerhus – 41 minutes, down 1
- Mission: SPACE – 22 minutes, up 2
- Spaceship Earth – 21 minutes, up 3
- Living with the Land – 20 minutes, down 2
- Turtle Talk with Crush – 18 minutes, no change
- The Seas with Nemo & Friends – 17 minutes, up 1
- Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros – 16 minutes, up 2
- Journey into Imagination with Figment – 11 minutes, up 1
Overall, EPCOT guests waited for an average of 37 minutes per attraction, which is one minute more than last time.
Obviously, that’s the new festival effect increasing crowds.
As a reminder, last week’s data only included a couple of festival dates. Now, we’re witnessing the full impact.
Magic Kingdom

- Prince Charming Regal Carrousel – 15 minutes, no change
- Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor – 14 minutes, no change
- Walt Disney’s Disney Carousel of Progress – 5 minutes, no change
Final Thoughts
Overall, Magic Kingdom guests waited for an average of 33 minutes per attraction, which is two minutes more than last time.
So, crowds were relatively static week-over-week, but we are tracking a bit more traffic over the weekend.
That’s a tell-tale sign that the parks are about to grow more crowded.
I think it’s safe to say that the quiet season is over at Walt Disney World.
