Updated Braille Map Spotted at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Walt Disney World does an amazing job of ensuring everyone has a smooth and seamless vacation experience. On our most recent visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, our reporters noticed a small change. We spotted a brand new, updated Braille map near the park entrance.
This is just one of many services available for guests with visual disabilities. Let’s take a closer look at this update.

For reference, here is what the map used to look like. A neutral background highlights a more traditional-looking layout.
The various lands are color-coded, and the highlights are shown all around the map.

The new map is a bit more streamlined. It shows an updated pop of bright green color and a land guide on the left-hand side.

There are listings for First Aid, Train Path, restrooms, Service Animal Relief Areas, and Guest Relations/Guest Services.
These stationary maps are available at all Walt Disney World theme parks, Disney Springs, and the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

New Map
As you can see in the photo, the new map features a large print with a clear Braille overlay and raised graphics to highlight key landmarks and attractions.
Guests can typically find these Braille Maps at or near Guest Relations/Guest Services locations, and there are usually two available. Cast Members are a great resource for more questions and additional assistance.
