Former Splash Mountain Gift Shop Windows Are Now Covered
With Tiana’s Bayou Adventure now scheduled for a Summer 2024 opening, we are getting closer and closer to the attraction’s grand debut.
If you have been following along here at MickeyBlog, then you know that we have been keeping you up to date on the attraction’s development, construction, and even testing!
The Latest Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Construction Update
Today, when visiting Magic Kingdom, we stopped to check in on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and as you would expect, progress is moving along fairly quickly.
As work continues on the back side of the attraction, the log flumes that will soon once again send guests plummeting could be spotted underneath the bridge in front of the ride.
Work Moves to the Former Briar Patch Store
Perhaps more interestingly, however, work now seems to have extended to the former Briar Patch store. Previously, when walking by the old Splash Mountian gift shop, guests could still see some props inside the windows.
Now, however, the windows have been covered with a brown cloth, obstructing the guest’s view. It looks like Imagineers are now giving the shop its new Princess and the Frog theme.
The store’s entrance also remains roped off even though the doors have long been closed and locked.
Here is a closer look. As you can see, Disney has made sure that no one can peek inside.
With just a couple of more months until Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens, it looks like construction is now in the home stretch.
As always, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on all the news coming out of the Magic Kingdom!
